Download MASM for Windows 32 bit / 64 bit (Win 7, Win 8 , Win 10) and Ubuntu

MASM (Microsoft macro assembler ) is a x86 assembler that uses intel syntax for for MS-DOS and Microsoft windows . There are two version of assembler . One is 32 bit package and another is 64 bit package . 

Follow these simple tutorial to install MASM package on any windows version 

Windows installation Steps :

• Download DOSBox0.74-win32-installer.exe installer DOWNLOAD (Link 1)  or you can download from this link Download (Link 2)  OR Download (Link 3)
• Download  8086_Assembler.zip DOWNLOAD  file and unzip it to the C:\ drive of your windows . 
• Run DOSBOX0.74 installer and install it .
• After successful installation and run the package , you can get a black screen . This is the terminal of the MASM .
• Enter following commands in that terminal screen . 

     > mount c c:\8086  
     > c: 
     > edit (your programme name).asm

• Then you can get a blue window . This is the window to write your first assembler program .

If you are using Ubuntu , Please follow the instructions to install MASM 

Ubuntu installations Steps :

• Open terminal (Ctrl+t)
• Enter the following commands in the terminal to install dosbox

         sudo apt-get update
         sudo apt-get install dosbox

• Next create a folder 8086 in /home path by sudo mkdir /home/8086
• then give permission to this folder by sudo chmod -R 777 /home/8086
• Download  8086_Assembler.zip DOWNLOAD  file and extract it to the /home/8086 folder 
• Then run DOSBox from Applications >Games >DOSBox Emulator
• Type the following commands to mount 

         mount c /home/8086
         c:

• Now you are ready to type your program in Linux.

How to run the MASM program ? 

After the successful installation Dosbox and Assembler uisng above step , you will write your first program.    

• Consider if your program name is  " sample.asm " . Then exit from the editor .
• Create the object files by typing the below command and press enter

          masm sample.asm

•  After the above steps , it will generate the object files 
• Press Enter again and again until you will get the compilation errors / success message 
• If any errors occur , type edit sample.asm . Using this command you can correct the program code.
• Follow the steps 2- 4 after editing the code , once your errors got resolved , enter the command link sample . This command will generate sample.exe file 
• Finally run the program by sample.exe command 
• You can see the output of the program
• If you want to exit from the Dosbox , type exit command

Introducing Windows 10 operating system : A Review compared with Windows 8 OS

Microsoft Announced their latest version of Operating system Windows  10 will release soon this year . They shocked again all the Microsoft users including me . Recently Microsoft releases their new updated Windows 8 Operating System . I think all of us uses and experienced their performance . When compared with Windows 7 , I think you are all not get entire satisfactions . Is it ?

When Microsoft announces their latest updated OS , the first question normally , is it any peculiarities than Windows 8 OS ? The other interesting one is it's Name controversy .We know the previous names windows 7 , Windows 8 . Compare with these terms , the next names should be windows 9 but Microsoft announced it is Windows 10 .The next one is their continuous up gradation . All of us bored the system up gradation when they upgrade their latest versions through out 2 years .

The latest Microsoft announcement is ,the company ensure that this is the best version of windows operating system . That means they are not interested in the next version but I am not sure .

Advantages of Windows 10 Operating System

Start Menu :

• The design of the windows 10 is similar to windows 8 OS but using this version we can use it in all laptops , Tablet PC , Smart phones , Game Console etc. All the related plugins we can download via single cloud store ( It may priced also ) 
• The missing start menu in windows 8 is should appear in latest version but we can also get tile menu too . The start menu is divided in to half start menu and half start screen . We can also get the Applications via screen also .

• We can get Calender , Mail , News etc applications via start screen ( using right tiles ) .You can customized your start menu according to your size also .
• At the side of top menu account name , you can get the shout down , restart options.

Metro Applications :

• When power on the system , you can get the metro applications window . The difference in windows 10 metro application when compared to Windows 8 metro , they have closing icons , maximizing and minimize options . When shortly say , You can get the same size application like metro application when download via store .

Updated Command prompt :

• The most interesting update is command prompt copy option .We can use ALT+V short cut options for pasting directory path to command prompt . It is not active in all other previous Windows OS .

Virtual Desktop and Task View

• The next peculiarities of the windows 10 OS is it's task view . We can get all the opened Application through task view and also it helps to create virtual desktop . 
• You can see task view interface when clicking on the task view button .You can add a desktop also . This is similar to ALT+ tab in previous versions .

Snap Enhancements

• Though quadrant layout , we can snap 4 applications in a single screen .

The real thing is today, Only Windows 10  technical preview is released .You can expect more features in real operating system . Today the technical world is controlled by android and Apple OS . How to install Windows after installing Linux OS ?

This article is my favourite one because it's from my personal experience . I think this is also a asset to you . Personally, I  faced lot of problems from the  installation side of different operating systems because different OS have different boot files . It is irritating some times !! So installations is quite tough . Is it ? I think when compared to windows installations linux is better one . Although windows allows to install linux OS with in the system or different .What happen when install windows after installing linux OS ? Is it linux allows us to install windows with in the system ? I don't think so . Since , before answering this question let us look the general ideas about both windows and linux boot .

Linux and windows have different boot files . Linux uses GRUB installation to maintain boot files and also windows have a bootloader . So when installing either OS , the actual thing is happen that the OS install their bootloader in the system . So It loades the boot files when system start up . I think some time you victim of such boot problems . Is it ? when changing or removing the OS files , the OS can not boot their files properly . Some time we  experience GRUB rescue > error  when deleting the linux files from windows .

This is the basic general idea about how OS boot up their files . Come back ! Let us look what happen when installing Linux in the system . Simply they create their boot files and install on the system . So when with in the Windows OS , it allows install linux boot files . The process is called as multibooting ( Boot different OS with in a system ) .  If we install linux OS first , it add their boot files to the system . So currently the system has only one OS and this is the default OS too . After that windows installatons done by the user , it changes the linux boot files order and install windows boot files . So the postions are changed and can nott run either OS . How can we fix this problem ? Let us look these steps .     

Steps to install windows OS [ Using Linux CD/USB ]

• After installing the Linux OS , It has some memory needed . So we should install Windows OS in the remaining memory or a new drive . 
• You can create a partion for windows using Gparted in ubuntu . 
• Insert your windows bootable CD or USB to the drive and install windows
• So after that installations linux OS is reusable now .
• Insert the live Linux CD/USB and open terminal by ctrl+alt+T
• Install boot-repair using the following commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair && sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y boot-repair && boot-repair
 

•  After sucessull installations , boot-repair open automatically and select Recommend repair from that

• So after that a new GRUB file added and you can get the dual boot OS in your system

Steps to install windows OS [ From windows OS ]

• Insert your windows bootable CD or USB to the drive . Continue the general process like time , date , region .
• Choose the memory partions or new drive for installing windows OS . Continue your installations process by pressing next untill finish the process .
• So you sucessfully install windows OS . It changes the boot options and it effect the linux booting also .
• Login in to windows OS and Install EasyBCD tool . This is a tool used to change and repair boot options .

• After sucessfull installtions on windows OS . Run EasyBCD software .
• Add NEWENTRY from the EasyBCD tool box .
• Select Linux/BSD from the list and choose Yes to restart the boot .
• Thats it ! you can get dual boot after restart .

• After sucessfull installation process , Run the software .You can a windows lik this .

• Click on the computer icon situated  top left on the software for starting the process .
• After clicking this icon , you can see a dropdown box . Select utorrent from that list and press open . ( Note : you must run Utorrent software before running cheat engine )
• You can see a windows like this after done above step . Click on the box to Enable Speed Hack . 

• After done the above step , you can see a windows like this with a default value 1.0 .

• Change the default value 1.0 to 0.1 and press Apply for the changes.

• You are done ! Go and look your Utorrent software . Wow ! amazing ! it's work .

 Steps :

> Insert your pendrive to your USB drive. Check it is not write protected (checking by copy any thing to your USB)

> Press windows+R or run .Type regedit. Press enter.

> Click on arrow near HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and click on arrow of SYSTEM and CurrentControlSet

> Right click on the control and add new key

> After creating new key, change the name of new key to StorageDevicePolices

> Right click on the write protected file of DWORD(32-bit) and click manage .

 

> Change the value Data to 1 .

Multibooting , Virtualization process : Overview on GNU/LINUX and WINDOWS

I think today most of the people leaves windows OS and going behind to the linux operating system. Linux operating systems like Ubuntu versions are one of the most popular among the operating systems. Compared to the windows operating system, Linux opearting system are mostly focusing on speed and security. But some time we need both operating system for running Applications. We know GTA is one of the world popular games and they work only in windows platforms but some other programes like SDK need linux too. So, Both operating system do a important role in the user tasks.

Some we need both operting systems to full fill our needs.In that case, operating both they need a process called Multi Booting, Virtualization. Let us look what are they.     

Multi Booting

You can install ubuntu Os via a bootable CD or USB. At the time of installation, they ask you to install this Os along with other OS. For example when installing Ubuntu Os on windows, they ask install ubuntu along on windows after Putting bootable CD on Drive .  The another option is make a manual partioning. You can make a space for Ubuntu in your system via partioning at the time of installtion process. After the sucessful installation, the system ask which OS do you want to open at the time of system boot up.

Virtualization

The above details only based on single operating system. Virtualization process help you to run the opertaing system with in Another Operating system.We can load your second OS via CD or USB other than hardisk. There are lot of virtualization application freely availble today. 

How can i done Virtualization ?

I alredy said there are lot of virtualization application freely availble .VMware, KVM are the most important application for windows and linux.

 

Steps:

 

> Install One of the Application in your OS (windows/linux versions)

 

> For example, If you want to open another OS with in windows, then the one of any virtualization application must installed on windows and vice-versa.  

 

> After that using this Applicaton we can install new OS ( right click - via create a new virtualization ) . The programe actually create a virtual machine on your OS.

 

> After sucessfull installation using this virtualization application, you can load that new OS at any time from the current OS using this application.

> If you want to load previously installed OS on your hardisk ,You can done through this applications too.
