I think today most of the people leaves windows OS and going behind to the linux operating system. Linux operating systems like Ubuntu versions are one of the most popular among the operating systems. Compared to the windows operating system, Linux opearting system are mostly focusing on speed and security. But some time we need both operating system for running Applications. We know GTA is one of the world popular games and they work only in windows platforms but some other programes like SDK need linux too. So, Both operating system do a important role in the user tasks.
Some we need both operting systems to full fill our needs.In that case, operating both they need a process called Multi Booting, Virtualization. Let us look what are they.
Multi Booting
Actually that name indicates its function. It helps to boot different operating systems together on a system. Multi booting or dual booting helps to keep both operating system in a system. For example we can run windows and linux OS on one system together.
How can i install it ?
You can install ubuntu Os via a bootable CD or USB. At the time of installation, they ask you to install this Os along with other OS. For example when installing Ubuntu Os on windows, they ask install ubuntu along on windows after Putting bootable CD on Drive . The another option is make a manual partioning. You can make a space for Ubuntu in your system via partioning at the time of installtion process. After the sucessful installation, the system ask which OS do you want to open at the time of system boot up.
Virtualization
The above details only based on single operating system. Virtualization process help you to run the opertaing system with in Another Operating system.We can load your second OS via CD or USB other than hardisk. There are lot of virtualization application freely availble today.
How can i done Virtualization ?
I alredy said there are lot of virtualization application freely availble .VMware, KVM are the most important application for windows and linux.
Steps:
> Install One of the Application in your OS (windows/linux versions)
> For example, If you want to open another OS with in windows, then the one of any virtualization application must installed on windows and vice-versa.
> After that using this Applicaton we can install new OS ( right click - via create a new virtualization ) . The programe actually create a virtual machine on your OS.
> After sucessfull installation using this virtualization application, you can load that new OS at any time from the current OS using this application.
> If you want to load previously installed OS on your hardisk ,You can done through this applications too.
